With summer just around the corner, now’s the time to come in to the shop and build your very own paipo. A paipo is a traditional hawaiian surf craft, similar to a body board, but they keep you closer to the waves, and slide like a bullet. Paipos are fast, and probably the most fun you’ll ever have sliding on waves. We’ll be using a mix of locally sourced old growth cedar and some locally grown Eastern White Cedar. Once you’ve shaped one paipo, you’ll definitely want to try your craft at building another.
