Framed Floating Shelf (April 27, 1:30-6 pm) with Martin Thornell

In this class we will build a framed floating shelf, perfect for displaying a plant or other small objects. The frame will be put together using half-laps, a stylish and strong joint. The frame will be made using black walnut, and the shelf will be a lighter contrast wood such as maple, ash or birch and the piece will be finished and ready for hanging at the end of the class.
